Below is a description of what is available to you on your trip
All equipment supplied is good quality tackle. Carp rods are all 3lb+ test curve from either Shimano or Nash. Cat Rods are built by Shimano,Nash or Ultimate . Reels Are Shimano Big Bait runner Long Cast or XTE 10000´s. We use these reels RATHER than multipliers because they are a lot easier to play fish with! We listen to our customers who come for the 1st time,multipliers although more durable are not fun to use if you are unfamiliar with them. So for your convenience we now have only Shimano baitrunner reels!
All pods are the latest Ultimate high pod design or Solar S/S. Our buzzers are Fox RX (8) with digital remotes(2) or Fox SXV´s(4) or SX (3). Fox, Nash and JRC shelters. Bed chairs are Anaconda 6 legged type. Bouys and markers are supplied.
There is a Zodiac inflatable boat (with a 4hp outboard) for taking out baits. A Garmin portable fish finder.There is also an Angling Technics Bait Boat available.We supply cooking equipment inc pans plates knives and forks etc. We also have a giant pot and gas ring burner for cooking maize and hemp!
Each angler will be supplied 12.5 Kilos of giant nuggets or 25 kilos of cooked maize(if you prefer for carp fishing).More bait is readily available from your guide or in local tackle shops.
Your guide and his Air Conditioned Mini Bus will be available to make daily runs into town for take aways, provisons or tackle etc.
We supply everthing,including your 1st rig.There are plenty of shops locally where you can buy any other tackle you need. The river is full of snags so you do tend to lose a few leads and rigs during your trip. We suggest you bring some with you to get you through your first session.
Useful spares to bring! Bait drills, baiting needles,,plenty of 4-5oz leads,batteries for torch,camera,waterproof clothing & boots,sunglasses and sun tan lotion. You can also pack your own buzzers and swingers if you prefer to use them rather than ours!
Access to the internet is available! Bring your lap top and you can use a pay as you go mobile modem! Or if its just to check your emails you can use Steve's lap top!
Insurance is not included but all the clinics here accept your E111 if you bring it!
Breakages (outside normal wear and tear) or losses of equipment MUST be paid for!
The most common cause of equipment loss is when clients do not remember to put the baitrunner on. This results in the rod and reel being pulled off the pod and into the river, never to be seen again! This has happened on a few occasions! So be warned!!!
